Helen von den SteinenAdjunct Lecturer

About

Helen has been practicing Human Centered Design for over 30 years both as a free-lance innovation consultant and during her career with Procter & Gamble where she led consumer-driven innovation for products across multiple categories and geographies. She is passionate about understanding consumer needs and translating them into winning product innovation leveraging design thinking and lean innovation skills.   Her strengths are in designing and conducting research to uncover both articulated and unarticulated insights to define design directions.

She has lived and worked in UK, Germany and US and has conducted consumer research across the globe. 

Helen teaches in the MS EDI Human Centered Design Program (Design Research and Human Centered Product Design), the Master of Product Design and Development Management (Customer Driven Opportunities) and the Design Thinking and Communication program.
